With accurate testing and appropriate therapy, many infertility conditions can be successfully treated.

After identifying and assessing the cause of a patient’s infertility, we develop the treatment plan specific to each patient’s infertility condition. We then guide our patients through the treatment process, helping them make an informed decision about their fertility care.

A treatment plan at The Fertility Center may comprise one or more of the following:

  • Drug Therapies
Drug therapies are typically used to treat thyroid, pituitary and ovulatory disorders. In addition, drug therapies employing clomiphene citrate, injectable gonadotropins and/or other protocols are often utilized to treat infertility.
  • IUI (Intrauterine Inseminations)
IUI involves the careful preparation of a sperm specimen, followed by the placement of the sperm into the partner’s uterine cavity with a tiny, flexible tube (catheter). Some centers simply “wash” the sperm. However, we perform a more sophisticated sperm separation technique known as gradient centrifugation. This technique has been reported to improve pregnancy rates with IUI treatment.
  • Surgery
Surgery may be recommended to treat a number of infertility conditions, including endometriosis, scar tissue, tubal blockage, and uterine abnormalities. Most often, surgery can be performed with minimally invasive approaches (laparoscopy and/or hysteroscopy). This often results in a more rapid recovery compared to conventional surgical procedures.

  • IVF/ART (Assisted Reproductive Technologies)
The Fertility Center offers a wide range of IVF/ART procedures, including standard IVF, ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection), assisted hatching, blastocyst culture, donor eggs and PGD (preimplantation genetic diagnosis). We are proud of the success that we have been able to achieve with these procedures, particularly in some of the most difficult cases.

  • Donor Gametes
In some infertility cases, the woman will not have adequate eggs or the man will not have adequate sperm. Therefore, we offer donor egg and donor sperm treatment cycles for patients who are unable to use their own gametes for various reasons.

The above list is fairly representative of the services that we offer. If you have questions regarding other types of care, please contact our office, and we would be happy to answer your questions.
